LPI Welcomes New Board President

LPI is thrilled to welcome Joe Horstmeier as the new board president.  Joe has been involved with LPI since day one, as he was a munchkin in Lakeshore’s first production, The Wizard of Oz in 1996.  Since then, Joe has been involved with LPI onstage, backstage, on the directing staff, and as a volunteer.  Joe is very honored to be chosen to help lead LPI in the years to come as well as to introduce community theater, and all it has to offer, to the next generation. A Letter From the President

First off, I want to recognize and thank Bob Eichner for his 17 years of service to LPI, most of which were served as the President of the Board of Directors. It is an honor to fill the role that he so nobly held for many years, and I hope to continue the great work he did in guiding this much needed organization in the Random Lake community.

I am extremely excited to have been granted the opportunity to work for this great organization along with the other members of the Board of Directors. The board of directors which includes Roy Schwab, Jamie Birenbaum, Alexia Birenbaum, Angela Casper, Bob Deyo, Ed Ritger, Gary Feider, Heather Benson, John Robertson, Mike Schwab, Renee Schauer and Sara Stout, is a group that will do everything in its power to deliver a well-rounded theater experience to all members of the community.

LPI has been a part of the Random Lake community since its inception in the summer of 1996, and now, on the eve of our 25th show the idea of theater for all is still what drives us today. Surely anyone who has felt the warmth of the foot lights, built a set, designed a costume, pointed a spot light, set a scene, directed, played an instrument, or helped in any number of other volunteer works during any production will know that it takes a community to put on any show. They also know that every task, no matter how big or small, has a very important role to play in the success of any production. There are no small parts just small actors. This is the kind of well-rounded theater experience we are dead set on delivering to the community of Random Lake and the surrounding areas.

With that being said, we have just finished up one production and we are on to planning the next. For the 5th year in a row, LPI presented the Living Nativity at the Random Lake Night of Lights.  We were happy to have so many people celebrate this very cherished story with us and we would like to thank all of the volunteers who made this year’s show possible! And for the summer of 2020 please join us as we celebrate our Silver Jubilee with the show that started it all here at LPI, The Wizard of Oz! The Wizard of Oz was performed that first summer in 1996 and will always hold a special place in our hearts! We are extremely excited to welcome back the memorable characters and unforgettable songs that make this show the one of a kind adventure that has been loved since 1939. This will take a community, just as it did that first summer, and we cannot wait to see you for auditions or as one of the invaluable volunteers that allow any show to succeed.

We love the Random Lake community that supports us, and love that we have been given the opportunity to bring what we create each summer to this community! If you have not yet been a part of one of our shows please consider joining in the fun, and if you have joined us in the past, we can’t wait to see you again!

Take care,

Joe Horstmeier
