Production Team Spotlight - Madilyn Kallaur - Assistant Director

Is this your first show with LPI? I played Arch Angle Gabriel for LPI's 2021 Christmas Nativity.

What was the very first show that made you fall in love with theater?  When I was a kid I would turn on the movie The Wizard of Oz over and over again. I would copy and sing along with the different characters. After my mom saw my love of this musical, she signed me up for my first singing lesson and my first competition song was “We're Off To See The Wizard”.

Do you have a favorite role or production you’ve ever been part of? Yes! My favorite role to play was Sandy Cheeks in SpongeBob The Musical. I loved getting a chance to sing and belt in a southern accent.

What would your dream show be? I would love to be a part of Jesus Christ Superstar. I love the music!

Do you have any pre-show rituals, either as an actor or production team member? Before a show you will find me warming up my voice and chugging throat coat!

Outside of theater, what hobbies or interests help you recharge? I participate in Taekwondo at JK Lee Taekwondo and I'm a part of their Demo Team.

What excites you most about working with our cast this summer? This is my first time being an assistant director, so I am excited to learn and help out!

What is your day job? I am going to be starting college next school year and I have experience in social media marketing.

What's your favorite song from The Addams Family? “When You're An Addams” is an earworm of mine.

Who is your favorite Addams Family character? The Ancestors because they are very funny and mischievous!
