Anything Goes

Lakeshore Productions, Inc., celebrates its 21st anniversary by presenting the popular musical “Anything Goes.”  Set in the 1930’s, it’s an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores — the age old tale of boy-meets-girl and the complications which follow.

The S.S. American is sailing between New York and England with a passenger list including: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist; her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who is trying to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh); and a second rate con man named Moonface Martin, aka “Public Enemy #13.”

“Anything Goes” includes terrific songs like “It’s De-Lovely,” “Friendship,” “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “All Through The Night,” “Anything Goes,” “You’re The Top,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” “Buddie Beware” and “Easy To Love.”
