The Addams Family Musical Audition Information
Auditions for The Addams Family Musical will be held at the Random Lake School District (RLSD) auditorium (605 Random Lake Rd., Random Lake, WI 53075). Auditions will run Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th. Ages 8-12 will audition from 6:00pm-6:30pm and ages 13+ will audition from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Children auditioning must be 8 years old or have completed second grade. Doors will open at 5:45pm. Call backs will be Thursday, May 28th if needed.
Rehearsals and performances will be held at the RLSD auditorium.
A draft of the summer rehearsal schedule can be viewed at the link. For returning cast members, please note the inclusion of some Friday and weekend dates. The production team may adjust this schedule to accommodate needs of the production.
NEW: A mandatory information meeting kick-off (followed by an optional cast social- snacks will be provided) will be held on Friday, May 29th at 6:00pm at the RLSD auditorium. Final details will be provided at auditions.
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
- Sign-Up for an Audition Slot
All those interested in auditioning should sign-up for an audition slot via Sign-Up Genius. If you are unable to sign-up, walk-ins will be accepted for the next available slot. Certain slots will be reserved for youth cast members ages 8-12. - Prepare for your Audition
A Copy of the LPI Audition form can be downloaded and completed in advance, or paper copies will be available at the door. Please arrive early enough to complete your form prior to your time slot. Please pay special attention to the included conflict calendar to complete as well.
Optional: If you would like to submit your Audition form and headshot digitally in advance instead of printing the form or completing it in person, you may upload these via our Audition Material Form AFTER you have selected an audition slot on Sign-Up Genius.
Please bring a musical theater piece prepared. 32 bar cut from a Modern/Contemporary Musical Theatre song. If you do not have a piece prepared, you will be asked to vocalize to see where your range is. Please do not prepare a song from The Addams Family Musical. Modern/Contemporary Musical Theatre refers to musicals that were produced 1990’s to the present. Examples include, Rent, Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Shrek, Hamilton, Greatest Showman, Little Mermaid, Something Rotten, Wicked, etc.
Please also come prepared to dance at auditions with appropriate clothing and footwear.
